New CHEPSAA paper to be published
The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) has just recently received news that one of its outputs has been accepted for publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.
After the establishment of CHEPSAA in 2011, one of its first actions was to implement an assessment of the health policy and systems research and analysis (HPSR+A) capacity assets and needs of the CHEPSAA partner organisations and their networks. This assessment underpinned the rest of CHEPSAA's programme of work.
A paper describing this asset and needs assessment methodology, as well as reflecting on the lessons learnt in the application of the methodology, was submitted to Health Research Policy and Systems earlier this year and accepted for publication last week. We will be sure to make this paper available as soon as it is formally published in the public domain.
This latest paper is linked to an earlier paper that describes the empirical findings of the asset and needs assessment and that was published in Health Policy and Planning in 2013. The reference for this paper is: Mirzoev, T., Le, G., Green, A., Orgill, M., Komba, A., Esena, R.K., Nyapada, L., Uzochukwu, B., Amde, W.K, Nxumalo, N., Gilson, L. (2013).
