The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) today released the much-anticipated final versions of its two open access, masters-level courses. The courses are entitled Introduction to Complex Health Systems and Introduction to Health Policy and Systems Research.

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) is counting down to its official conclusion, with only 2 weeks to go before the end of the project grant. Instead of winding down, however, we are planning a jam-packed final phase of the project that will see us ending this collaboration on a high note.

The organisers of the 3rd Global Symposium on Health Systems Research have reminded all those who are interested in the conference that they have about 1 week within which to submit their individual abstracts for oral or poster presentations. The deadline for these abstracts is 3 March 2014.

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) today published the first in a series of materials through which it hopes to contribute to enhancing postgraduate teaching and learning related to health policy and systems. CHEPSAA is a project funded by the European Union which aims to extend sustainable African capacity to produce and use high quality health policy and systems research by harnessing synergies among African and European universities.

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) today published detailed guidance on how to go about conducting health policy and systems research (HPSR) capacity assessments.

This publication, entitled How to Do Capacity Assessments for Health Policy and Systems Research in University Settings: A Handbook, is specifically focused on the capacity of research units within universities, but is also likely to be useful to others who work in the field of HPSR, including researchers in government, semi-autonomous organisations and non-governmental organisations.

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) is busy putting the finishing touches on its preparations for the 3rd Global Symposium on Health Systems Research that will take place in Cape Town next week and very much looking forward to engaging with others in this field!

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) this week got a taste of the MPH programme of the School of Public Health, University of Ghana when it had the opportunity to network with some of the students in this programme. This networking event was arranged as part of the 4th annual meeting of CHEPSAA, which took place in Accra, and involved discussion of selected students' proposed MPH dissertation topics.

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) has just finalised a document through which it aims to present ideas and stimulate wider thinking and debate in Africa about sound principles and practice in curriculum development in the field of Health Policy and Systems Research and Analysis (HPSR+A).

The Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) is this week (13-17 May 2013) holding its second curriculum development workshop in Cape Town, South Africa. The week’s activities will be focused on beginning to finalise CHEPSAA’s first collectively developed course, entitled Introduction to Health Policy and Systems, and initiating the development of a second course, provisionally named Introduction to Health Policy and Systems Research.
